Shot Peening of Pipes
We specialize in internal shot peening services of Stainless Steel Pipes which increase turbulence of materials passing through the system to reduce clogging due to angel hair or stringers.
SERVICE DETAILS
Our plant is equipped with automatically controlled shot peening machines for wide range of components of job diameter upto 1 meter with consistent and unerring results. The finish is consistent and covers total internal surface of the pipe.
Depending on the type and quantity of the material and on the transport velocity, different pipe surfaces, from smooth to rough, are required. Vikas Metals uses different techniques – shot-peening – to achieve the defined degree of roughness of the inner pipe surfaces.
The Internal Surface Treatment of conveying pipe is very important. The following roughness is recommended

Shot Peened Elbows
Elbows with long radii ensure a safe, clean and careful transport of your products
An essential aspect of the pneumatic conveying technology is the fact that pipe elbows with long radii are used to reduce the impact of granulates with the back of the pipe elbow, thus avoiding a possible damage both of the goods to be transported and the pipe walls. This means that the transport becomes safer and cleaner. Moreover, the demixing of the carrying air and of the goods due to the transport will be reduced. The homogenous conveying of the material avoids the formation of clogging and the resulting pressure losses.
Elbows made to measure
Elbows of any radii and of all required angles can be formed by us. The usual radius is 5 to 10 times the Pipe diameter. Tangents, either at one end or at both ends, can be considered during production. Vikas Metals offers tailor-made long radii pipe elbows with smooth or especially roughened inner surfaces, available in Stainless Steel (SS), Carbon Steel (CS) & Aluminium.
